Early Childhood Tuition Assistance Application

You will be notified prior to the start of the Spring semester of your award status. Applicants for PSY 508, PSY 510 and EDU 602 have priority. Due to the high volume of applications received, please allow for a two week timeframe to  review your application.

There are currently eight courses available for the spring semester:

Assistance will be awarded only for approved courses and Independent Learning Contracts in the Granite State College
Early Childhood Curriculum, taught by instructors who hold a current Child Development Bureau ECE Faculty Credential. 
There is no limit on the number of times you can apply for tuition assistance; however, only one grant will be
awarded per term per individual. If you are awarded a grant you will be responsible for any remaining tuition charges,

all fees ($75), and books.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for tuition assistance under this program:

Teachers must be currently employed in a New Hampshire Licensed or License Exempt child care center or a family based child care program for a minimum of 20 hours per week providing direct care to children and directors need to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Provide unofficial transcripts to support proof of passing grade for all required pre-requisites (not required for GSC degree students.)

Grants will cover:

Full tuition for individuals taking their first Early Childhood college course.

 Note: Not all courses are offered every term and not all courses are eligible in any given term.  Only courses taught by faculty credentialled by the NH Child Development Bureau are eligible for tuition assistance.

Independent Learning Contracts for Early Childhood courses are also eligible for tuition assistance, based on advisor permission and with college approved faculty.

Full - $1256 in-state, $1420 out-of-state
Half - $628 in-state, $710 out-of-state

If you are approved for a grant award, you will be responsible for paying registration fees for the course and for the cost of books.  Receiving an award does not automatically register you in the course.

Once registered for a course, if you withdraw from the course or fail the course, you will be billed the amount of your ECE grant as conditions of acceptance requires successful course completion.
