You may sign up for one test per registration. Every CLEP test is available on each testing date. With some exceptions, each computer based exam lasts 90 minutes. You may take only one exam per test session. Students requiring accomodations for testing must have approved disability accomodations with Granite State College or provide necessary documentation to the College.
Your score will appear on the computer screen upon completion of the test and will be mailed to the institution you specify within ten business days (unless you wrote an essay), and your official score will arrive in the mail within 2-3 weeks. After the test is completed College Board requires students to contact them direct about score information.
You cannot retake the same test within 90 days.
On test day, you must present an official form of identification. The ID must contain either a photo or signature. Military test candidates should bring a military ID.
All candidates are required to pay for CLEP exams via the My Account registration page, which is available at http://clep.collegeboard.org/register/exam. Credit cards, checks, and money orders are no longer acceptable payment methods at the testing site.
You will be issued a registration ticket after paying for an exam via My Account. When you arrive at the test site please be sure to have your registration ticket with you. This will be required to begin your test.
The fee to register is $114 total per CLEP test. (CLEP testing increases to $89 per test on July 1, 2019.) Please Note: The $25 registration fee is non-refundable. DANTES funds CLEP exams (one attempt per title) for eligible military personnel. CLEP exams for civil service employees, inactive guard or reserve personnel, and spouses and dependents not listed on the Dantes Eligibility Chart are not funded through DANTES.
